Toshiba Mini NB205-N210 (NB200 series) 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life Review

This is an awesome machine with lots of power and style. I can find no downside: even with only 1gb main memory (expandable to two) I can do anything I want with it. Yes, HD video can have playback issues (waiting for the large files to load) but most everything else is spot on.

Bought it to get traffic reports in my car with Verizon cell stick. Cumbersome, but does the job. Battery life is awesome.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N313/P 10.1-Inch Posh Pink Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life Review

We purchased this Toshiba netbook for travel while using Dragon Medical for EMR dictation. We were concerned that it would have trouble with such a robust program as Dragon, but it has done just fine. It is a little slower than our desktop or business laptop, but it works.
We had no trouble with the wireless, as I noted some people did. It picked up our home network right away and as we have traveled and used it on other networks, we also have had no trouble.
The battery life really is wonderful; we do get the nine hours that Toshiba claims you will.
All in all, we have been very pleased and would certainly recommend it, as we already have with friends and family

I actually bought the NB205-N330BN, pre-ordering it from amazon, so this review is by an actual owner. In addition to this netbook, I also own 2 desktops (one I built myself) and two laptops. Before buying, one needs to realize the limitations of a netbook. It’s not meant as a replacement for your desktop or laptop. I bought it for remote access to my company’s server so I could prepare reports from the road and not have to drive 1-2 hours to my office. For this and for internet browsing, it has been perfect. Two others in my office have Asus and HP netbooks and this Toshiba blows them away, if for nothing else the keyboard layout. Wi-fi reception has been much better than the laptop I previously used, so I have no complaints at all. Windows 7 Starter has been fine. I didn’t need all the bells and whistles and stupid Windows tricks. No wallpaper? Who cares?
